So what is the production process of silicone keypads?

First: raw material

 1. Main material: silicone rubber

2.  Auxiliary materials: vulcanizing agent, release agent

 

Second: molding

The mold can be processed according to the key drawings or samples provided by customers, and made into silica gel key mold. The mold can be mass produced after confirming the structure and production process. Before production, the mold is generally sandblasted for surface treatment

 

Three: vulcanization molding

Vulcanization molding plate vulcanization machine, according to the function of the vulcanization machine manual, automatic and vacuum vulcanization molding (also known as oil pressure molding) : the use of high pressure vulcanization equipment after high temperature vulcanization, so that the silica gel raw materials into solid forming

 

Four: secondary vulcanization

After curing semi-finished products can be decided according to customer requirements for secondary curing, in order to remove the remaining curing agent decomposition products, improve the performance of the product. Conventional secondary vulcanization using vertical oven, with 180~200°C temperature baking 2H can be completed.

 

Five: Silk-screen printing, Spray painting, Laser etching

1. Silk-screen printing, select the corresponding screen and ink to screen the surface characters, screen printing after quality inspection, unqualified with solvent erase reprinting, qualified sent to bake.

2. Spray painting, spray color oil, extinction, PU and other ink on the surface of the silicone keys according to the requirements of customers. After spraying, it will be sent to baking immediately, tested after baking, and the unqualified ones will be selected for rework or scrapped, and the qualified ones will be sent to the next process

3. Laser etching , according to the requirements of customers on the surface of silicone keys for  Laser etching.

 

Six: According to the design of the silicone rubber keypads mold, choose to cut or manually remove the excess burrs of the silicone keypads and trim them clean, so that the surface of the silicone keypads is more beautiful

 

Seven: Process control

1. Process control during vulcanization molding, which is the first stop of process control. The main inspection items are size, elasticity, hardness, stain, color difference, lack of material, etc., eliminate defective products, timely find major defective problems, and feedback production requirements for improvement, to reduce the occurrence of defective products.

2. Quality control during screen printing, inspection focus on double image, incomplete screen printing, unclear font, poor wear resistance, etc.

3. Finished product control, including full inspection of printed matter, products without printing and products already washed, etc., and packaging of defective products after detection.
